We invite comic artists, poets and visual artists who work with different languages!
The debut of the autofagia collection will be dedicated to creations that think about image, page, sequence and seriality and narrative tension relations (or non-narrative).
We encourage the artists to experiment freely, not holding themselves to what we call “Abstract Comics”, but to the “abstraction processes”, that is to say, the dissolution (deconstruction) of the language to work with new aesthetics and concepts.
From “The Cage” by Martin Vaughn-James to “Bleu” by Lewis Trondheim, we look for questioning creations that break away from the standardized narrative colonization that dominates the current artistic production.
Deadline to submit is November 15th and the edition is expected to be launched in the first half of 2021.

autofagia is a collection of experimental comics, image and critical essays books. Annually proposed, it seeks for new thought provoking works that blur the borders between comics and other arts with different curators in every new edition.
